Batangas Bulalo

Coming from Bicol, when we would bring a car, we’d stop over Batangas around lunch time and have ourselves some Bulalo.  The establishment we recently went to after our Cagbalite outing was packed.  They may be two of the most famous girls along the national highway selling, um, beef bone marrow soup.  Presenting Rose and Grace.new_dsc03519Here’s the counter where you’d order and be given a number.  You go back to your table and wait for the food.  Waiters and waitresses come by to bring the plates, the utensils (well, they forgot to bring us utensils and had to get them ourselves), the glasses, ice, and the drinks.  And then, one by one, the food arrives… new_dsc03518It’s a bit far off to go to just for Bulalo, but if you’re already nearby, you should try some.  Nothing to make you drowsy during the long highway stretch of a drive than a full stomach.  Be careful!  new_dsc03520We were hungry but we weren’t able to finish everything.   Your dog(s) would be so happy if you bring them these large chunks of bone.
new_dsc03521The food looks nice and home-y, doesn’t it?
